Online Counseling for Sensitive, Introverted Women
What type of clients do I work with?

I love, love, LOVE my job, but I am not the therapist for everyone. No therapist should be.
You are not one-size-fits-all.

You should have a therapist who "gets you."
You deserve a therapist who is highly trained in your issues and concerns.
Because I believe in the goodness of fit, I only take on about 1/4 of the people who reach out to me. So please don't be offended if I decide we aren't the best fit.

Since my availability is limited, I only accept patients I am confident I can help. My style of treatment is usually longer term, in-depth relational work. I don't do crisis work.

I don't work with children, adolescents, young adults under 21, couples, or families. All of my post-graduate training has only been in individual therapy with adults.

In addition, I am not equipped to treat individuals with addictions, personality disorders, or current eating disorders. I have not had extensive training in these very specialized areas.
It would be unfair and unethical for me to treat someone if it wasn't to the best of my ability.

I work with populations whose concerns are ones I have had extensive training in or have received counseling for myself.

I no longer make appointments with individuals who do not contact me directly for counseling. In the past, I have found that, if someone else set up the appointment, the individual usually wasn't ready to commit to therapy.

Before you schedule an appointment with me, I encourage you to browse through my website. See if what I am saying (and even the pictures I use) speaks to you.
Go with your gut. Do you feel like we would be a "good fit?"

I only want what is in your best interest. If after we meet, either one of us does not feel we are the best collaboration, I will be happy to refer you to someone more suitable to your needs.

This is all about you. You need to feel safe and comfortable with your therapist. You need to feel like you can tell them anything and won't feel judged.

Wishing your sensitive soul all the best in your journey to wholeness!
